A training of five 90-minute sessions over five weeks
Designed to help you reduce anxiety and strengthen your ability to self-regulate. Written and Presented by a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, registered trauma therapist, and experienced educator, this program offers practical, body-based self-regulation techniques to calm the nervous system and support lasting emotional, mental, and physical health.

Trauma can rewire the brain – but the good news is that healing and change are also possible.
Through somatic self-regulation practices, you can learn to calm overwhelming emotions, restore balance in the nervous system, and create space for healthier relationships and positive life experiences.
Many overwhelming experiences can have lasting effects. Some examples are:

- long term illness

- childhood neglect or abuse
These experiences can keep you stuck in patterns of anxiety, stress, or disconnection. With this training, it’s possible to heal and build resilience.
How Will This Training Help Lower Anxiety?
This training will help you understand and transform your experience with anxiety and other central nervous system activation. It uses a somatic, body-based and developmental approach. Each session builds on the last, offering foundational knowledge and giving you practical self-regulation strategies to apply immediately.
Over Five Weeks You Will:
- Reduce anxiety with tools that create lasting change
- Understand the roots of nervous system activation (like panic, trauma, PTSD, anger, and overwhelm)
- Shift unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns
- Access and strengthen your inner resources
- Learn to listen to your inner self and navigate what gets in the way
- Apply self-regulation techniques to manage stress and emotions in daily life
- Heal from the impact of negative or overwhelming experiences
- Improve relationships at home, at work, and with yourself
This live self-regulation training includes:
- An introduction to somatic awareness that defines anxiety
- Developmental factors behind anxiety
- Ways to overcome its effects by responding effectively rather than reactively

Why I Created This Training
In 2019 the the World Health Organization calculated only the formally diagnosed cases of anxiety. They counted 3.1 billion and rising at an alarming rate. Anxiety is one of numerous signs of activation in the central nervous system and often in the body. After years of counselling, I began to notice a clear pattern. Clients needed time to learn the foundational principles of the somatic approach before they could truly begin the deeper work of connecting to and relieving the unwanted activation.
This happened with hundreds of clients. While the psychoeducation was essential, it often took up valuable therapeutic time.
That’s why I created Lowering Anxiety through Self-Regulation. This five-session course brings together the core somatic tools and insights I’ve been sharing in therapy for years. It’s designed to make this life-changing information accessible, clear, and practical.
When people truly grasp how their nervous system works, real and lasting change becomes possible.
It is designed to:
- Provide psychoeducation to better understand the impact of trauma and how it affects us in the present
- Teach techniques to reduce anxiety and promote emotional well-being
- Offer practical strategies for connecting with and accessing long term healing
